Accessories Council 2024 Design Excellence Awards Winners List: Details
The Accessories Council held the 2024 Design Excellence Awards Monday morning, recognizing outstanding work in the accessories category.
The council’s top award went to watch brand Citizen, which won the 2024 Hall of Fame honor. The award is meant to recognize a brand or product for being able to stand the test of time. Other top awards included the Circana Top Item Award going to Bogg Bag and the FashionGo Buyer’s Choice Award going to Blackburn.
The 2024 brand collaboration award went to Jared and Lulu Frost for its collection of antique and vintage inspired jewelry. The general accessories award went to Binata Millinery.
In the eyewear category, Alain Mikli received the award for independent optical eyewear; Stuart Weitzman received the award for multibrand optical eyewear; Vogue Eyewear received the award for independent sun eyewear, and Longchamp received the award for multibrand sun eyewear.
Jewelry winners included Jane Win Jewelry for fashion jewelry more than $100, Marlyn Schiff for fashion jewelry less than $100, Hearts on Fire for fine jewelry more than $1,000 and Lagos for fine jewelry less than $1,000.
Footwear awards were given to Chris Donovan and Daniela Uribe for footwear more than $250, while Vince received the award for footwear less than $250.
For the handbag category, Hammitt and Tyler Ellis tied for handbags more than $1,000, and Edie Parker received the award for handbags less than $1,000.
The social impact award went to Two Blind Brothers; the sustainability award went to Margaret’s The Couture Cleaners, and the tech and innovation award went to Ray-Ban for its Meta Smart Glasses.
The Accessories Council’s Design Excellence Award winners are voted on by the public from a pool of finalists decided on by the council. The finalists were chosen on the criteria of design, unique appearance, function and consumer needs.
